April 4 reached a record of new business establishment

After a year of economic exhaustion due to the pandemic, by April 4, the recovery is very close to the number of newly registered businesses setting a record. The number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market increased significantly compared to the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market. The rate of enterprises suspending operations and dissolution sharply decreased.

New establishment registration reaches 15.001 enterprises

In April 4, the Business Registration Administration (Ministry of Planning and Investment) recorded 2022 registered enterprises. Becoming the month with the highest record in the number of newly established enterprises ever in our country.

It can be seen that this number is much higher than the average of 13.043 newly registered enterprises in the same period of April, 4-2017. Besides, the number of registered employees of enterprises over the same period in 2021 also increased by 2021% to 10,7 people. During the month, the number of businesses resuming their operations also increased by 104.757%, reaching 22.4 enterprises over the same period in 7.034.

In total, in the first 4 months of 2022, there were 30.919 businesses returning to operation, up 60,6% over the same period in 2021. This is also a record number in the first 4 months of the year - twice the average level. 2 re-priced enterprises entered the market in the first 15.506 months of the year, period 4 - 2017.

According to statistics in the first 4 months of the year, the number of enterprises returning to operation the most were in the fields of: Wholesale, retail, repair of cars and motorcycles, accounting for 38.6% (11.945/30.919 enterprises); Construction accounted for 12,2% (3.784/30.919 enterprises; Processing and manufacturing industry accounted for 11,2% (3.448/30.919 enterprises).

A good sign, the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market was 10.380, down 11,6% over the same period in 2021. The number of enterprises dissolved and waiting for dissolution procedures decreased sharply compared to the same period last year. .

Economic recovery is very near

The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) on Vietnam's business environment has said that "recovery is very near". The basis of this statement is that Vietnam's business environment index has reached 73%, an increase of 12% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021. This is also the highest level since the fourth outbreak, the upward momentum is expected to continue in the near future.

The excitement was most evident in businesses in the fields of tourism and services, after the decision to restore international routes and fully open international tourism in March. Businesses reopening and establishing new businesses outperformed in April.

According to the survey, up to 82,3% of enterprises think that their business situation is getting better and better and stable (50,0% is better, 32,3% is stable). Enterprises forecast more difficult reduced to 17,7%. Nearly 66% of survey respondents expect revenue to increase in the second quarter of the year, compared with 2% in the previous quarter. Likewise, more than 52% of respondents anticipate an increase in headcount in the next quarter.
