On the side of employees, the General Confederation of Labor in Vietnam, after calculating, temporarily lowered the proposed salary increase rate to 10%, compared with the previous proposal to increase the rate of 11,11%.

However, the proposed difference is still 4%, to reach the final decision, the National Wage Council agreed to vote.

With 13 / 14 votes agree, the rate reaches 92,85%, resulting in a salary increase plan given at 7,3%.

Specifically, the proposed rate of minimum wage increase in the year of the year compared with the region minimum wage in the previous year is as follows: area of ​​2017 increased by VND 200, ie increased by 2%, region 30 increased by VND 200; VND (1%) and 250.000 area increased VND28X (7,1%).

On the average of the region, the minimum wage increase in the year of 2014 is proposed by the National Wage Council as VND 200, which is an increase of 2% compared to the year of XNXX.

Judging by this increase, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Minh Huan said that the plan to increase and increase the rate that the council chooses will ensure the real wage of workers, plus the element of energy. labor productivity, contributing to stabilizing workers' lives, ensuring competitiveness and other elements of enterprises, helping businesses stabilize and develop.

“We appreciate the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has shared with the difficulties of enterprises because they must be able to survive and develop to create jobs for workers,” Mr. Huan said.

Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), said that this increase is the effort and sympathy of employers and employees.

He said that now the business situation has recovered but still very difficult, any change also makes the business before the choice exists or does not exist.

"Enterprises need room to compete, improve labor productivity and especially the ability to pay according to the requirement of increasing the minimum wage", he explained, but also shared that after negotiating, VCCI also agreed. The salary increases 7,3%.

Previously, at the first meeting held in mid-July, the National Wage Council considered proposing a minimum wage increase of 7% with 11 regions (equivalent to 4-250.000 VND a month), Much higher than the final "peg" option.
